How I arrived on Bluesky
@ozarkpoet
Ozarks nature poet! Waterfalls, kayaks, caves, fossils, shining shells that raccoons leave by the river. I like walking my cat on a leash (!) and scribbling in mudproof notebooks. Author of Follow: Poems and author in Wild Muse: Ozarks Nature Poetry

He is just a fraidy-cat. My husband was there for me through both of our sons' births. I love a courageous man.

This is so inspiring. Warmly recommended. #Spring
He has killed grandmothers.
I love the sounds of baseball, especially of the ball hitting an old glove, and that chime that an aluminum bat makes (I loved to sit and watch Legion Ball!) You will get to hear them all.
My brother and sister-in-law (in Durango) say they are actually grieving the lack of a winter--and not just because they like to ski. Doug has showed me some very stressed aspens (from climate change). And that was almost 20 years ago.
Spot the differenceβ¦
A shiny creature! Or RADIANT, as Charlotte the Spider would say.
I love rainstick sounds!
A cat and a dog sit peacefully and expectantly side by side on a rug. The cat is black, and has shining green eyes. It is a very soft cat. The dog has a wiry coat, is slightly larger than the cat, and is sitting on her haunches. They are waiting for dessert!
Post a pic you took, no context, to bring some zen to the feed.
I accidentally turned on the sound at one point. My cat appeared, tail lashing and eyes squinched!
Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1 The phrase βCall me Ishmaelβ, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen βHis nameβ
Love the glimpse into the beautiful mind that notated this used copy of Moby Dick I got
The tones in this shell washed onto the shore, and its beautiful edges. #colour #patterns

Trump just described voting as "the greatest privilege of them all."
We don't call it a privilege here. It's a right.
My momβs was low today, and she is a 92-year old Republican who despises Trump, so I hope sheβs listening in!
trump going on about corruption and then slandering somali-americans makes my blood boil
Heβs giving a presidential Medal of Honor to a member of the menβs Olympic hockey team?

βThe hottest country anywhere in the world.β Thatβs a good description of Trumpβs dumpster fire.
Sitting in the hospital, I am hearing family members of dementia patients saying to each other sadly ββmaybe sheβll go back to acting normal.β Thatβs always the hope, but it wonβt get better.
The Rabbit, by a branch of red berries in a snowy field.
There was once a rabbit who dreamt of wild adventure, of liners sailing to Brazil, carrot fields in Norfolk, creameries in Normandy. I have a small life, he said. But before he died, he looked up at his beloved human & he realised that a life of love is never slight, not at all.
Do they though
It's so comforting when you know you can count on a great team! Sounds like she is in good hands.
My mom's tastebuds have changed so much in her 90's that she declared, "Subway's sandwiches don't have the flavor they used to. They must have changed the recipes!" And that restaurant chain ought to get an award for Consistent Sandwich Taste for Over 50 Years.
