All right bluesky frens, what's one film you think everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime?

Whoops forgot to keep going. Films that influence(d) me. No explanations. #filmsky 📽️
Day 9(ish)
Now watching: "La Piscine"
uh that Superman trailer looks like it's cluttered with JLA characters.
Sigh.
I'm gearing myself up for the sequel, but I don't think I'm yet ready for it.
My xmas gift to myself is the World of Wong Kar wai Criterion set and their edition of On The Waterfront. 🤩
I'd love that!
So I've never made a clafoutis but I've been meaning too. How eggy is it? I'm sure I've had one in France before, but I literally cannot remember.

Day 6
Maria (2024) is not a great movie. But Jolie is great as La Divina.
I'll be thinking about this for a while. It requires processing. What I can say is this: there is a lot that feels like Guadagnino and then there's a lot that pushes past. There are entire sequences that feel as surreal as anything Lynch has done.
Now seated for Guadagnino’s Queer. #filmsky
oh shit, Maria dropped on Netflix.

Day 2:
Ok, will try the #filmsky challenge of movies that have influenced you.
Images, no explanations.
Day 1.
One of my film kiddos told me to watch Nightcrawler (2014), which I hadn't seen. So ... here we go.
Ok, giving Coppola's The Conversation (1974) a watch tonight. I haven't seen this yet. 📽️
We've reached the last week of classes before exams. So close yet still so far from winter break.
I've hit season 4 of the wire. Omar is in genpop. I haven't felt this level of anxiety about a character's fate in a hot minute. 😧
@madamednmichael.bsky.social my review 🤣
oh, it's -definitely- absurd. But it's a fine sword and sandal outing. I mean, Mescal is fantastic at just breathing in general and Denzel was having a good ol' time.
Oh, Paul Mescal = no notes from me! It's a fine sword and sandal outing. I mean, largely unnecessary. But Denzel and Paul were fun to watch all the same!
Sitting thought previews of boring Marvel films while I wait for Gladiator which I’m seeing for the lolz because I know it’s absurd
Anora was great. Irreverent, loud, debauched and then sensitive and personal.
All right. I finished it.
