I think we tested Battlesystem once or twice, but we much preferred War Machine which we used a number of times. I have also used even more simplified variants of War Machine, but in general I prefer abstract mechanics over miniatures when making mass combat part of my tabletop RPGs.
Playing some WHFRP 4E. I am playing a Riverfolk character in what looks to be an interesting campaign. We will see how long it takes before my PC is killed! :D

Before jumping into the D&D/TSR release year of 1977, we should look at the OD&D white boxes that were released from 1974-79, the 4th - 7th printings of the OD&D set. Here are my 4th (original shrink), 5th, 6th (signed by Gary and Gary and Dave on all the interior books and my 7th (original shrink).
Now at the Atlas of Mystara: Francesco Defferrari’s Izonda and Pelatan, 24 miles per hex from 2011. The culmination of a decade of work from Francesco and Thibault Sarlat, this map was an amazing gift to the community. Bravo!
