Buckeye Fire Equipment is 2nd on my "you can rely on this life safety product" list. Buckeye is the more budget-friendly option that'll still perform great when you need it, if you're in commercial buildings and take notice, you'll start to see Amerex and Buckeye in a ton of buildings. (6/7)

I would highly recommend Amerex, they're known for producing high-quality and extremely durable fire extinguishers that perform very reliably when you need them most. Amerex extinguishers are used by the U.S. Military and they trust their lives with Amerex extinguishers. (5/7)

If you have a Kidde fire extinguisher, recalled or not I would highly suggest getting another extinguisher from a dependable portable fire extinguisher manufacture, either from Amerex or Buckeye. (4/7)

Faulty valve components from a recall in 2015 and clogged nozzles, needing to put excessive force to discharge the extinguisher or the extinguisher nozzle detaching from the extinguisher with enough force to pose as an impact hazard from a recall in 2017. (3/7)

The defects include the Nylon plastic handles breaking off, Nylon plastic valves inside the extinguisher separating from the steel cylinder from a recall in 2005, pressurized cylinders in the recalled fire extinguishers losing pressure and/or failing to operate from a recall in 2009 (2/7)
