Agreed. United fans wonβt care if the team wins games

As good as any player Iβve seen in the PL this season I think (Iβve watched less than past seasons though)
Yeah I mean, itβs kind of hard to come in and flip an entire side into your own image in a few weeks, and heβs largely gotten the job done, but the results are flattering and I have doubts as to how this maps out over a longer period
Way United have played under Carrick Iβd have taken 4-2-2, let alone 6-1-1, from these matches. Been skating by on oppo red cards and late winners since that incredible City game
Possible. He played 26.4 nineties last season and scored 11 (sub penalties)
Heβs not good technically but I think I was overweighting that before ngl. Heβs big and strong and fast and shoots good and heads pretty good. The absolute floor is more than a goal every 3 games
MacKinnon x McDavid probably the most enthralling thing anyone could possibly watch ever (since last week when Crosby was also in the line)
Menβs national hockey with NHL players feels like watching people from another universe, itβs absolutely unbelievable, never seen anything like it
Guy is getting by on pure βIβm better than youβ. Thereβs nothing else to it. Paul Pogba school of football
I donβt think itβs appreciated how good Cunha is honestly
I have no idea if Amorim does it but I think this improvement and suffering is inevitable regardless of coach. The team needs a full performance rebuild from the academy to first team, shifting to a progressive approach and modern analysis. The suffering is inevitable
I mean, I think the entire season is evidence itβs working, despite disappointment in a few matches. The team Amorim inherited a year ago was playing bottom half football for over a year. Now the team is playing comfortably top half football
Shaw has been fine in this position all season, and Amorim said it was to manage his fitness. Heaven, I guess you could play Yoro but that has nothing to do with back 3 vs back 4 and Heaven was good today
Do these players, set up to play to their strengths, win at Anfield? Itβs foolish to look at league seasons as a series of individual matches. Even the greatest teams lose stupid games, itβs not a barometer of quality
Curious what you mean by regression to the old system because this is by and large the system that has been played all season and the results have by and large been good relative to squad quality in my view
Who are the players all over the pitch who are out of position? Besides Dorgu and Dalot I donβt even think itβs arguable that others played out of position
United are 6th in the league behind City Liverpool Chelsea Arsenal and Villa (who have been super lucky) so Iβm not sure your perception of the teamβs quality vs results is the same as mine tbh. 4 teams in the entire league βwin more often than notβ
The 6ft5 forward missed like 3 good chances today because heβs not good, and the goal conceded was from the CBs. The team is 6th at NY, this is the level of the team
I think all coaches make bad decisions, but more importantly, if he was too βwrapped up in his own nonsenseβ he wouldnβt have played the 433 last game to begin with
You can look at a season as a sequence of cup finals or look at the bigger picture. Iβd argue we should have lost *last* game but we won it
Amad Mbeumo Bruno Mount De Ligt all out β arguably 5/6 best players in the squad β and of their backups, Mazraoui Mainoo and Maguire also out. Bench had 1 Premier League player (Yoro). Just get some players man
I mean Iβd have gone 4231 with Dorgu RW today too but it feels so disingenuous to talk nonsense about this United team if you have even so much as looked at the list of players available right now
Circling back β yes, youβre right. They are. And the defensive ones are better with Lammens
I'm not a huge believer in mid-season sackings unless: a) highly coveted coach becomes available mid-season, b) team is untenably underperforming. Neither is true. Amorim will be coach unless/until this is a bottom half team or United sign better players (midfielders especially) but don't get better
Yep. I also just think that... all coaches are prone to odd decisions/selections. It's part of being a coach. It just looks worse when you're choosing between bad players
United are like the 7-8th best team in the PL with the 7-8th best squad and sit 6th. 4 pts off 2nd, 10 clear of 18th. By most bottom line metrics (expected/actual GD and Pts) they are projected +15-20 pts and +6-10 league positions on last year. I don't get the hate. The team is fine. Change my view
McTom Hojlund Dorgu in one game. Crazy
Striker on pace to score 40 vs defence on pace to concede 20 like a statistical experiment except itβs the actual Premier League season
Leafs won big tonight while everyone was distracted π
Honestly I went from actively disliking baseball a few weeks ago to being mesmerized for like 3 hours tonight, and the team I was rooting for lost. What an outstanding game
