Here’s to a future filled with more visionary science, pioneering partnerships and discovery!
This month, NCSA celebrated its 40th anniversary! In 1985, Illinois astrophysicist Larry Smarr and 7 colleagues submitted an unsolicited proposal to the National Science Foundation asking for funding to launch supercomputing centers. NCSA “opened for business” in early 1986.
We look forward to continuing conversations and partnerships that strengthen NCSA's capabilities and have a lasting impact on the state of Illinois and beyond!
