Match 38 of 25/26 - Derby County (A)
A loss, but a decent performance.
Amazing atmosphere in the away end; non-stop singing.
Derby fans really quiet once they realised the 'party dying' chant was being met with indifference. Nice to know we've lived rent free in their heads for 5 years thoughπ€£ #swfc
βΉοΈ Full time.
I propose an exhibition match between Spurs and Sheffield Wednesday
Although the chance of a 0-0 draw is high, it might give one of the sides the boost they need
#swfc #wawaw
But imagine Wednesday losing to Spurs, how embarrassing.

Or is there someone else!?
My guess is that Ashley will appear by far the safest bet, so Storch needs to be at least Β£2M ahead and able to demonstrate substantial funds secured to the extent that IFR/EFL can have confidence.
Bord was always going to be entertained. Chansiri would have sued Begbies if they had turned down his offer, given the safety net provided by his deposit.
Now new rules apply, another miss and they would be selling a club at risk of being suspended from the league (very bad for creditors!).
Well, others always will.
That said, the Administrators should do what they say they will do.
Kieran Maguire criticises Begbies (see from 50 minutes); criticism that was much more muted in a 42-minute Sheffield Wednesday "special" covering the Bord withdrawal only last week.
What appears to have triggered KM is Begbies missing a self-declared deadline to report to Companies House.

To your question, yes, the admin can dismiss a high bid if they have reasonable grounds to believe it is not in the best interests of creditors (the concern is that a delay might kill cash flow and lead to liquidation). Of course, if the bidder provides a Β£4M safety-net, it's tricky to dismiss them!
Alan, why don't you just say Ashley should have it? π

I hope not, but maybe we will be seeing you next year!
My slight preference is for Storch, if only because Iβve never much liked Ashley and Storch is good at his PR! But, Ashley is very clear-eyed; this is an investment, and the only way to recoup on the investment is to get us back to the Championship and pushing for promotion. That will be his goal.
With practice the two centre-mids plus a defensive mid potentially gives us more solidity. HPβs problem is that he just hasn't had the right personnel, with NC unavailable, his fitness questionable, you can't plan around that formation. JTβs rapid development changes things (Nakamba also may help).

I think HP believed that with Challobah returning, and Thorntonβs recent efforts, both were best playing 45 minutes.
They are almost interchangeable. Thornton is developing quickly and, if Challobah stays fit, HP suddenly has two options to use a deep midfielder with two midfielders in front.
Yes. Of course, Wednesday were not entirely effective, but these charts often reveal how a team is trying to play.
You might have a life and not spend time analysing charts like this, but the two charts above are very different and you rarely see such variation from the same team in one match.
Note that players action maps are different to heat maps. The average position of touches of the ball are rarely in the opponents final third.
Wednesdayβs second-half map indicates a very dramatic shift, so much so that both approaches, including the half-time substitution, were probably planned.

Jarvis Thornton (circled in red) played only the second half but was pivotal in The Owlβs more advanced play.

The Owls stayed deliberately in a low block, with Yates and Lowe receiving no meaningful passes.
Having -7 points is not an attainable goal for most football clubs. But we have the skills!
With Bord gone, #SWFC make a sharp U-turn.
"some interested parties have requested the work of the recruitment department be continued so as not to be working from a standing start when any takeover is complete."
If they had kept tight, it would probably have sailed between Svante and Domβs heads, but it's not a good look.
HP was pressed on Ugbo when he did not travel to Norwich, but he refused to get into specifics, other than to say he thought there were better options.
When you consider you can have nine subs and eight were from the U21s, and he was nowhere in sight yesterday, I think you can assume no more Ugbo.
On βthe wallβ incident, the ball actually goes between Svante and Dom. Svante jumps up and away from Dom.
