The thing is, you do not just stop a full-blown war with a martyr culture like Iran.
But I guess he'll see, once they keep attacking US bases and host countries.
But Trump declared it complete, so why isnโt Iran stopping??๐ฎ Itโs almost like they want revenge at any cost and do not care what the hell he proclaims. You canโt stop a war to the death with an actor like Iran just because you feel like it.
Holy shit this US administration is just going on vibes๐คฆโโ๏ธ
Iran will keep going no matter how โcompleteโ this nonce proclaims it.
Iโm really glad I told my fiancรฉe to fill up the car when the first US/Israeli attacks started. This might end up feeling like the 1970s all over again. We donโt drive much, but still.
Kind of like helping set the fire their Messiah is supposed to put out so he will finally show up and tell them how special they are?
Are we sure they are not consciously playing their part as the Christians led astray, helping usher in the end times and the second coming according to their reading of revelation? Because from the perspective of a doomsday cult, it actually makes a kind of insane sense.
Steel made after 1945 carries trace contamination from a now radioactive atmosphere, meaning the fallout is global and measurable in bones, soil and water. It is not dangerous at present levels but could be with more above ground detonations, you are not just attacking one target, but everyone.
Nuclear weapons are not really viable in a closed system like Earth. They permanently alter the planetโs environmental baseline, and the effects go global. That is why low-background steel from pre-1945 shipwrecks is very valuable for sensitive instruments.
Even Putin seems to prefer burning through a million+ RU casualties in Ukraine rather than dropping a single nuke, despite their own doctrine giving him plenty of excuses.
Yet still nothing. For all the rhetoric, all he has really done is wave the threat around and fire empty Oreshniks instead.
I do not believe nuclear war is likely, at least not on the civilisation-ending global scale people usually imagine. Maybe something limited(with truly global outcry), but not the full apocalyptic scenario people keep fixating on. WW3, will more likely be fought kinetically.
So now Trump is stuck in the worldโs stupidest escalation scenario, if he backs off, Iran keeps hitting and he looks weak, if he escalates, the war gets wider and uglier. That's why I think this is the start of WW3.
I'm just happy Europe seems to not want to join the attack.
Trump's war.
you are no longer dealing with a dispute you can just quietly walk away from. Iran has already made clear it is not surrendering, retaliation is ongoing, and the new hardline leadership in Tehran looks even less likely to de-escalate.
Trump cannot even really back off now, because Iran is going to keep attacking either way. At this point he has boxed himself into the classic trap, once you kill the other sideโs top leadership, hit more than 1000 targets, and trigger open retaliation across the region,
Taking the shape of a genuine "dildo of consequence" ๐
Meanwhile in the Oval Office ๐ heretics(evangelicals), praying to what many currently view as the antichrist.
Now I'm not religious anymore but Trump is literally what I imagined the antichrist to be when I was.
So saith the naked king.
Being a religious lunatic doesnโt mean someone is unintelligent. Iranโs leadership is highly educated and very tactical in its thinking. Theyโve been preparing for this kind of conflict for 47 years, which is why every US president before Trump had the sense not to poke that hornetsโ nest.
Damn.. that's a major hit ๐๐ฏ
I really want to be a stoic, but every fibre in my being seems to rebel against the idea.
Was going to look up what the rules of engagement say about this, but then I remembered Pete Hegseth complaining that rules of engagement are โtoo wokeโ and politically correct, so I guess nobody actually cares.
At this point, escapism genuinely feels like the psychologically healthy choice.
China must be thrilled watching all that oil go up in smoke. I guess the USA is ready for the consequences ๐คทโโ๏ธ At least this one isnโt Europeโs headache ๐
Remind me again why Japan declared war on the USA during WW2.
Wasnโt it because their oil supply got fucked with?
Lonely, heโs Mr. Lonely.
Got no allies anymoreโฆ whoa-oh ๐ถ๐คฃ
Just looked up his background, apparently I was right on the money.
Well I guess I just ensured I'm never gaining entry to Abu Dhabi in my lifetime, considering insulting his family is a crime ๐
He's giving off heavy Celestial Dragon vibes. Just needs the fishbowl helmet. (Not a jab at his ethnicity, but at his class).
They only said they wouldn't attack countries that didn't act as US/Israeli launchpads.
