Eeeeeyup. When the opposition is doing constant smear tactics, it’s not enough to quietly fix things in the background. You need to not just do damage control, but take control of the narrative. They kinda just let Rs run wild.
It was nice to have a break from news every now and then with him, but I would argue that was also a weakness - he needed to run a stronger PR campaign so people knew the good things that were happening under his administration so Ds could shape the narrative, instead of allowing Rs to do it

I survived three rounds of layoffs while my last agency was being staged for an acquisition nobody outside of leadership knew about. Then a fourth once we were acquired. I was recently laid off because the holding company isn’t interested in marketing - they want AI services.
It’s also crazy to me that in order to stage companies for acquisition, leadership will hack away at their staff before mergers/acquisitions in order to make profit margins look better. They Destroy the teams that made these companies profitable to begin with.

It's insane. I've won like 8 industry awards for my work and I can't even get recruiters to look in my general direction. Every creative I know is having problems getting interviews, let alone jobs. Fucking awful.
