My son got this award at school about talking all about Egyptian technology which he learnt all about from listening to @gregjenner.bsky.social books every night when he goes to bed. Thank you Gregg for helping my boy.

We obviously pay our guests on You’re Dead To Me, and always have done, and I was recently paid to appear on a podcast, so perhaps it’s slowly changing for the better

It's on our To Do list! We were planning it, but sadly the academic became unavailable

It's an interesting problem -- it's so hard to get people to hear about our work, especially since social media algorithms hide our posts from 90% of our followers, that going somewhere with an audience is a huge advantage. But then you've heard the book's content and don't need to buy it!

Thank you... you might have to wait 4 years!

Are we falling out of love with nonfiction? In the early 2020s, readers flocked to books to explain political turbulence. But is the world now too grim to read about – and are podcasters taking the place of authors?

As someone planning my 9th non-fiction book, this is suboptimal news 😫 www.theguardian.com/books/2025/d...

🚨🎊New episode of YOU’RE DEAD TO ME!!

I’m joined by comedian Sophie Duker and Professor Yang-wen Zheng to learn about the extraordinary life of China’s Empress Dowager Cixi, who clung to power for half a century and was a badass

Listen now on BBC SOUNDS (or wait a month to hear it globally)

The Most Chilling Detail in the U.S. Attack on an Iranian Naval Ship The Iranian warship was taking part in an international exercise with many other countriesβ€”including the United States.

This is a chilling crime. A shame on our country. The Iranian ship was unarmed. The US knew this. The sailors were murdered by our navy, and the survivors were left to die at sea.

Quietly, calmly and forensically, BBC just dismantled the Trump communications shitshow on Iran.

No hyperbole, just laying out an unprecedented military, diplomatic and reputational shambles.

Worth a watch.
