I forgot to come up with something for the blackboard. I was too busy reading
Your to do list: buy a book at your local indie this weekend - or with us online!
We've got a dripping tap on the coffee machine. It's like torture.
A free book to whoever can fix it for me.
We do!
The List of Suspicious Things
The first book of today was The List of Suspicious Things. The man had already read it, but he was buying it as a gift for someone else because he loved it so much.
What book do you gift to people?
The weekend is just around the corner and that means… another book accidentally following you home.
Good morning. We are open. 📖☕️
Witch Trial
And right at the tip top of the pillar for the second week on a run, it's Harriet Tyce's Witch Trial!
The Barbecue at No. 9
On the Pillar for the third consecutive week, and up to second place - it's Jennie Godfrey's The Barbecue at No.9.
This has proven very popular. Because it's very good.
Blood Orange
3rd position goes to Blood Orange by Harriet Tyce, which has risen up the chart this week, thanks to a chunk of signed stock from Harriet's visit!
Hamnet
4th place is a re-entry, and the only book on the Pillar this week that wasn't there last week.
It's Maggie O'Farrell's Hamnet. Confession time: I've read others of her books, but I've never gotten round to this one.
I should read it soon.
Intergalactic Monkey Business!
Happy World Book Day! I'm spending the day packing up ALL my books, ready to move house.
But I'm gonna take a break to update you on the Pillar of Popularity.
Jamie Smart's Bunny vs Monkey: Intergalactic Monkey Business! is still doing really well - it's our number 5 this week!
Happy World Book Day
Good morning. We are open. 📖☕️
The Paris Express
We had lots of little folk in today from a local playgroup to pick up their World Book Day books, so technically one of them was the first book of the day - but the first PAID book of the day was The Paris Express
I thought this one was fab!
One book at the time… happily overwhelmed.
Good morning. We are open. 📖☕️
There are some bad grammar from me in that post. That's how you know it is I and not AI.
I just saw an advert for an AI that would answer my emails for me.
But what if the people my AI is responding to is also using AI? Just AI talking to AI while we humans resolutely ignore each other?
Why don't we all just agree to stop sending emails?
It’s a mad world out there… we sell escape routes.
Good morning. We are open. 📖☕️
Oh I totally see that, now you say it!
