Old buildings imitated rather than reflected other buildings: mass-produced moldings of ancient pillars, brick-hard materials, formidable facades. The reinforced seriality of capital. Now money reflects other reflections of money like a universe that appears as endless because it's made of mirrors.

It Took Me Two Years to Ditch My Awful Couch, and for What? My experience getting the couch should have tipped me off that it was not the couch for me and was in fact evil. But I really needed it.

Only an ignorance of economics can see this as something to write home about. Those prices are now stuck up there. They will not go down unless demand collapses (depression=deflation). And so the only solution at this point is to raise wages, which, obviously, will not happen. This is a distraction.
