Yes. I’m not in the US so only really tangentially aware but have become much more interested since Leo. Am broadly interested in the social complexities of the Church. Very interesting history (good & bad) in South Africa, where I’m from & grew up in the Church.
This is fascinating to me as a cradle Catholic. Also adds new nuance to my understanding of Pope Leo and his devotion to the Augustinian tradition.

I’ve worked as charity comms and it’s good to remember these sorts of tricks when briefing colleagues going into interviews. NGOs are so grateful to get coverage of whatever issues / campaigns thst it’s easy to forget that they don’t control the narrative.
