The irony is that killing EV incentives will likely make it impossible for the US to be competitive with Chinese models, and that will kill US auto industry exports, and eventually probably domestic sales.

Early numbers from the Western Monarch Count suggest that this year’s overwintering population is very low. So far ~7k monarchs were observed across the entire range. Even as more arrive, the peak count will likely be less than 30k. 2023 had over 200k.
