A stoneware pitcher sitting against a gray background. The pitcher is a speckled light blue glaze that breaks brown. A section of the lower half has a section of glaze-resist lines in a sort of warped pattern that swoops around the pot. That section is a dark brown earthy glaze.

Very pleased with this pitcher that came out of the last kiln firing. 🥰

A ceramic little house sits on a wooden counter. The roof is angled and a copper glaze with a blue rutile chimney sticking up on one side. The walls are brown. The windows are white, framed by blue rutile bricks lining the frames, door, and base. The windows are cut out so it can function as a luminary if a little candle was placed inside.

Finally glazed the pottery shop luminary that I made months ago. It took hours but I'm really loving how it turned out. 🥰

A stoneware mug sits on a warm-colored wooden counter. The mug has a surface design of glaze-resist butterflies, the wings a dark speckled orange and a lighter blue. The top and inside of the mug is a darker blue separated from the bottom earthy brown glaze with a glaze resist line that swoops around the mug and through the butterflies.

Dreaming of spring. We had another round of snow and ice yesterday, so it might be a while yet before we see leaves. But it's coming.

Right? Our kilns are in the basement down a narrow flight of stairs so I end up going up and down several times a day

I understand this. We hauled a ton of clay up the stairs into the house and then down to the basement not too long ago.
