Very proud of the tree Sean and I put up in our village. Just had the lights switch on and so many people came along and enjoyed the festive spirit. My first year as a parish councillor has been fantastic!

And...that's a wrap on the recording on book 1 in 2024. Just shy of 30 hrs raw audio. Should edit down to around 22 to 24 hours...lots of.oauses whilst I checked endless Indonesian and Dutch pronunciations. Heartiest thanks to Finlay for the help and @morrisonellis.bsky.social for the editing.

Deeply saddened by the passing yesterday of my friend and Dr Who star Richard Franklin. He was a kind and generous soul, a gentleman and a font of knowledge. Revisit his Captain Yates in the wonderful Dr Who Nest Cottage audio trilogy. So many warm memories of times with Richard. RIP dear friend x

What an emotional rollercoaster of a day it has been. @morrisonellis.bsky.social produced his final #audiobook at Studio 2, and we began the process of packing it all away ready for its new adventure.
Just 10 days now until studio 1 closes for good...and THAT will be an emotional day for sure!
Doctor Who is 60 years old. I'd have never dreamed as a kid watching the old TV that I'd grow up to spend 17 years of my professional life as a DW audio producer/director. I've got over 200 Who-ventures under my belt, and met and befriended so many awesome Who alumni. What a trip!

I can't quite believe it, but today marks the 20th anniversary of the death of my best friend Pete Barnes. You all know the story by now, of how he died of a sudden and unexpected stroke aged just 30, and how I've never got over it or even partially filled the hole he left behind.

This morning I find myself on a beautiful horse farm in Westerham, waiting for my 3 other tyres to be replaced. Considering what happened yesterday I thought it safest since they are all the same age and wear! And no, the horses don't do the work, they just hang out and make snarky comments! 😀
Goddamn it. The storm already meant I had to backtrack 5 times on my way to the studio. Now I've blown a tire, presumably whilst going through a flood. Waiting on RAC hero to come put a new one on.
