A full page advertisement entitled “Anew way to choose wellness”, advertising various supplements with names such as DS boost and DH 500 Plus. Two of the products cost NZ$2100 for 360 tablets, one product is NZ$1800 for 360 tablets and the other is NZ$370 for 360 tablets. They purport to do things such as support peak energy and support urinary function.

Spotted this ad in the Kia Ora Air New Zealand magazine.
“A new way to choose wellness”, clearly aimed at people with way more money than sense. What a load of absolute bollocks.

Rarely use AirBnB nowadays.
But I did just spend 3 days on the Otago Peninsula in a nice cottage. The guest manual mentioned the importance of mutual feedback so I gave them an appropriate (& lovely) review.
Theirs just said “thanks for staying with us”.
No mention of how immaculate I left it😐…

A sandwich that has been opened to reveal grated cheese (unmelted), corn and mustard on toasted bread.

I don’t expect a gourmet breakfast at an airport cafe but…. Is it too much trouble to actually toast your cheese and corn “toastie” or at least heat it enough so that the cheese actually melts. That’s the whole point of a toastie, surely. I’m talking to you Airspresso Dunedin Airport 😩

Yes, I mean if somebody turned up at VTNZ and said they wanted to renew the rego of course I’d expect people to understand that, but when you get a letter it just somehow seems weird to me, overly casual. I’m clearly my long dead parents’ daughter…they both spoke very precisely. Guess it rubbed off

It would seem so, looking at the piles of people telling me it’s rego to them…. Again to clarify I also don’t call it a license. I call it registration. We just didn’t shorten words in my family (I’m trying to think of other examples now, here’s one. I don’t say “hospo”, I say hospitality)

I mean, clearly lots of people do say rego, otherwise it wouldn’t have ended up becoming the semi official word for it…. Perhaps I’m in the minority.

I don’t call it a license, either. I call it vehicle registration. And I realise Rego is just a shortened version of registration, but I just cringe to see it on websites & official letters “your rego is expiring”
But this is a country where people go to the supermarket in bare feet so casual are we
