The intro really had me excited. Ultimately there is dare I say too much going on here. Happy to have read and as a whole very solid. Recommended for folks who want to read the classics of the genre.
Rating: 4/5
Final verdict: read it.

My bad. BLRW is good..ish. I have to say that it could redeem itself further on in the series (this is book 1). It has way too many characters and is very plot heavy. I honestly wasn't invested until page 400 which is criminal imo.
I mean it's Frankenstein but in Iraq. You really can't go wrong.
Penguin paperback of Frankenstein in Baghdad by Ahmed Saadawi

This year I am going to try some book journaling. I want to prioritize quality, getting more thoughts down for each on what I liked and disliked, in hopes of retaining more about each. #bookjournal #booksky
