Atomfall | Accessibility In Atomfall Take a look at our range of accessibility options in Atomfall.

The game achieved an awful lot but there are limits. Steve Saylor can play and did a review, but gamers totally without sight like SightlessKombat need sighted assistance.

Just make sure to check the full features list to see if it has what you need: atomfall.com/accessibility (or Steve’s review!)

Just how many games there were across all these award categories and the fact a AA category was viable just proves how much work studios are doing for accessibility!

Huge congratulations to everyone, and yes this has made my year a little bit πŸ˜…πŸ–€

An enormous amount of work and effort went into this - I’m so incredibly proud and humbled πŸ–€

To me there are so many puzzle pieces that make up holistic accessibility, and one of those is actually informing players how your game can support them. More accessibility trailers please! πŸ‘

SightlessKombat - Community Soapbox - Can I Play That? In this edition of our Community Soapbox we turn the spotlight on SightlessKombat.

Today’s Community Soapbox highlight features @sightlesskombat.com, an award winning, multi-credited accessibility consultant and gamer without sight.

Unsurprisingly, his biggest barriers involve gaming independently with no sight at all.

Really excited for this and the first four interviews are all incredibly informative and approachable.

I can see this series being a great way to introduce someone to accessibility in games through the stories and experiences of players with lived experience. Thank you to all the contributors ☺️

😞 it’s a shame for such a cute game!

27.11.2025 10:14 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly! And yea quest markers are a huge help! And especially in larger games that you have to play across many days/weeks/months.

In my experience good level design is an organic helper too, with clear points of interest and different visuals for different zones to help break it down.

27.11.2025 10:12 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Yea if it hadn’t been a super short game I think I would’ve but it down, but at least with it being ~8 hours it meant I could play it across a few days and keep the routes fresh in my mind. Got lost so often though πŸ₯²

27.11.2025 10:04 πŸ‘ 1 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

I still finished the game as I enjoyed the cosy vibe, simple gameplay, and charming narrative. But I’d love to see some extra features added to reduce barriers and enable more people to enjoy it too πŸ–€β„οΈ

This review mentions β€œhigh contrast scenery” but don’t mistake it for high contrast mode. The art style is beautiful, but often very hard to tell an interactive object from a static one, which resulted in me getting stuck for ages because I hadn’t realised I could destroy a thing to open a new path…

26.11.2025 22:22 πŸ‘ 3 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 1 πŸ“Œ 0

I finished this game and enjoyed it, but sadly lacking in some areas of accessibility for me.

This review mentions the lack of quest markers and map - both things that greatly support my memory and cognition. It also flared up my pain in my hands from a lot of movement and taps/holds…

Just played this myself and that Timing Assist feature is completely new to me. What a great feature! I hope other games learn from this and iterate on it, I definitely want to see it again.
