BREAKING: β€œA really sad feature of a conflict like this is that some people will try to use it to divide communities and tear people apart and we mustn’t let that happen” says Prime Minister Keir Starmer

He said many things in that particular speech yet clowns like you only mention 3 words.
His entire speech was about integration in the UK, having many different faiths and backgrounds but living as one United Kingdom, do you think thats a bad thing?

Farage made a big song and dance about flying to the US to lobby against our national interest. He wasn’t even given the time of day. Unpatriotic and pathetic.

What happened to the precedent of loyal opposition standing behind UK interests abroad? Farage is undermining them.

FFS. He wets his pants about an EU army and British sovereignty one minute. But would sign our troops up to god knows what, the next.

Labour will today set out how UK exporters and importers are expected to benefit from the new Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) agreement with the EU!

Announced last May and negotiated since, it aims to make trade between the EU and UK easier, cheaper and quicker.

It will cut paperwork....

I see Zack Polanski is back to his disingenuous, dishonest point scoring.
I think that Zack will discover that most of the public believe that Starmer's approach is the correct one. Starmer has said the attack is illegal, albeit very diplomatically but he has done so.

CPAC Head Says Iranian Schoolgirls Are Better Dead Than β€œin a Burqa” Leading Republicans don’t seem to care about the bombing of a girls’ school in Iran.

On #InternationalWomensDay2026 let's have a round of applause for all those big white American men dictating what is best for Iranian girls in a vain attempt to justify their illegal attacks on Iranian civilians

I am seeing almost universal support across social media platforms for Starmer’s position on Iran. Badenoch had a real chance here to distance the Tories from both Reform and a very unpopular US President and she’s blown it.

However, more issues remain relevant today. In particular, the ongoing Operation Epic Fury is a US military operation. It will not be possible for the UK to exert any significant influence in its planning. Any participation will be - as it was in Iraq - in subordination to the US.
As the Iraq inquiry report noted: "The US and UK are close allies, but the relationship between the two is unequal." Despite the UK providing significant military assets and personnel to Iraq, it failed to exert any significant influence on US decisions.

Would Farage, Badenoch, Johnson, Hannan, Blair, the Daily Mail, the Sun… like to comment on this?
No?
Thought not. Because their own raging inadequacy, dishonesty, arrogance, wrongness and startlingly cynical irresponsibility prevents them from being credible actors in this fireball of menace.

Starmer’s position is entirely consistent with what he wrote about Iraq in 2003, a fact of enormous inconvenience to just about everybody currently criticising it. Happily for them, just like the entire bloody Chilcot Inquiry it is apparently very easy to ignore.

The United Kingdom, our once Great Ally, maybe the Greatest of them all, is
finally giving serious thought to sending two aircraft carriers to the Middle East.
That's OK, Prime Minister Starmer, we don't need them any longer -- But we will
remember. We don't need people that join Wars after we've already won!

Our once great ally didn't come to our aid until 1917.

It really is something to see politicians, commentators and media outlets whose whole identity is based on being so-called β€˜patriots’ frothing with excitement as they line up to back a deranged megalomaniac who consistently attempts to belittle and bully the country they claim to love

Right-wing media, Reform and Tories all betrayed us this week. They couldn’t bring themselves to back the govt or our country because it would mean putting their nasty, point-scoring, twatty politics aside for the greater good. They exposed our post-Brexit weakness and their own toxic incompetence.
