Yes that is why I was confused over the statement. I personally think that shitty smut like that also has it's place within the genre, but I can see how it's frustrating when there's so much of it that ppl get a bad introduction to monster smut and romance stories.

Do tell me if I'm misunderstanding your point tho. Sometimes I read into things the wrong way and misunderstand.

- I don't like the idea of only wholesome monster stuff being allowed in the monster swamp / monsterfucker space. For some, the problematic stuff IS the feeling safe in the unsafe, because its problematic but you are in control, coz it's a fantasy. For some its just about being roughed around a bit.

100% agree with the part about calling charas monsters when its just a guy with horns photoshopped on. But I disagree with the sentiment that having a monster act problematic or have many red flags is invasive to the monster fucker trope. I do agree that it could be a more rare trope in books, but -

Good question! I'm not 100% sure yet but I think a big thing for me is if I can sense the passion and yearning between the characters. And then also interesting character designs, especially for monsters. And also I just appreciate the way someone drew the anatomy and their linework!

What does minimal paneling entice? Is that when the page is less divided so I would try to convey more in each panel? I think my brain in general is struggling with converting a scene in my head into panels haha, so that sounds like an interesting exercise.

I'm noticing the "graphic content" label gets misunderstood a lot. I never know if I'm gonna be seeing the most detailed gore art I've ever laid eyes on or just some boobs.

I like having a warning for gore, but right now it's just a game of roulette.

Maybe the trick with foliage brushes is to make ur own so it matches the style or something? 🤔 And yes I wanna try my hand at some smut comics! Yeah! Sometimes brushes dont flow or feel right and I just give up on em. I should probably get better at tweaking them to my will tho. 😤With stuff like leaf brushes I also just like drawing things by hand too. If I was making a comic or somethin I'd probably look into environment brushes more tho.🤔

Speedpainting just seems soooo satisfying to "master" or like get to a point to where its fun. Esp seeing as I'm a big fan of just doing some bullshit and then abandoning the project halfway. So that's perfect! And yeah I stick to a select few brushes too. I don't like getting used to new ones haha.

Yeah colored lineart is really fun! I think rendering to ur hearts content is fine, just gotta mold it into somethin u like. I think its funny how some pro artists are like basically speedpainting but then the focus, like the face, is really rendered. I think that's a direction I'd like for me.
