Gorgeous!!
Gorgeous!!
If I remember, absolutely!
Just a few flowers tonight. It's darn warm and humid. I didn't walk the waterfront tonight, but still saw tons of people and lots of lovely flora and fauna.
(I did see bunnies, but they weren't on the same walkway as I was.)

First Tuesday walk of the season and I'm still sweating in a tank top and shorts. And, everyone was outside. EVERYONE. #YGK
I got to walk alongside a little bunny in a construction zone. (See photographic evidence.) I also walked past Rob Baker walking dogs. (No photographic evidence of that.)

At least I was distracted by the demo derby at the Kingston Fall Fair. Which I would not recommend for women on or right before their due date. Those concrete "seats" aren't comfortable at the best of times. They sure felt extra uncomfortable in 2008.

This backlit Thirsty Thursday photo is brought to you by the pork loin marinating in the fridge, and the fact that 17 years ago I had already been in labour for at least two hours. Emma wasn't born for 20 more hours, give or take...

A field of goldenrod with trees in the distance. The sky is deepening with pink and purple clouds just above the treetops.
Took a walk on a piece of the K&P trail tonight.

This was a timely piece to put together. Of course it rained earlier this week, but that piddly amount of water did not change our water levels at all...
Now I'm on vacation, so enjoy my last piece for most of a week!

This was educational for me to research and write. #Ecology and the #environment are fascinating and important topics for me.

A few photos from the last week. I haven't been doing much socially, but I have been enjoying time outside.

As a news writer in #YGK I have wondered about the confusing connection between the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul and Providence Village Inc. And then there's Providence Care. #History
It felt like a story in the making, so I did something about it: www.kingstonist.com/news/the-pas...
I've seen so many people asking what is going on with the recycling collection, now that "producers" are fully accountable for the process.
So I looked into it. #YGK #Recycling
Here's what's happening in Kingston:
My aunt is moving and downsizing. All her lovely #furniture and #antiques will be up for #auction next weekend in Centreville, north of Camden East, Ontario.
Click through for details and photos (that don't do the items justice.)

Pink bleeding heart flowers dangling in foreground with out of focus purple tulip directly below and behind them.
Blue heron standing on rock shelf just above a still pool.
We took a family walk the other evening and I took the camera. I really should do this more often!
(This was in Gananoque.)

Sometimes I write a piece simply because I want to. Here's my latest (for @kingstonist.bsky.social).
The piece is available to subscribers only until 3 p.m. tomorrow, when it will open up for everyone to read!
Love these tulips! Here are mine (yesterday):
Friends, neighbours, connections: My daughter (finishing grade 11) is looking for both community service hours & paid employment (can be casual) this summer. #YGK
I know jobs can be hard to find, but I told her I'd try social media for some connections. She's looking for one-off volunteering ops. ๐
Post rainstorm view on Union Street on Queen's campus.
Same!
Same! Waited much longer than usual, but glad to have had my say!!
Spent some time at the library tonight!

Blooming purple crocuses in partially leaf covered garden.
Spent some time pulling sprouting maple keys out of my garden this weekend. There were SO many!!
This made me happy:
A clump of white snowdrop flowers growing through a collection of dead leaves.
There's something really nice about getting back to your routine after being off (or ill - or in my case both!)
Today was my first Tuesday night walk post-DST and it's so much more enjoyable walking while it's still mostly light. I managed about an hour and a half.
How's your week going so far?
โAs we navigate this strange and anxious world, choosing joy becomes more than a personal act of resilience โ it becomes a radical gesture of hope.โ

Nope. Shall I share? (No posting the answer under my FB question though! ๐)
Queen's is correct, JDUC is not. You're literally in the neighbourhood though!
Nope. Well, closer than, say, the Cataraqui Center, but it would be a bit of a walk to get there.
I'm reading somewhere different today. Any guesses?
(I'm in #YGK, Kingston, Ontario)
We got our NDP flyer today. Had a Liberal one last week. No one knocked, no phone calls. Voter cards came in the mail earlier this week.
We voted in advanced polls on Friday, easy peasy!
