Youโ€™ll see a higher instance rate of mental health crisis among the right wing as those with half a brain struggle to perform the necessary mental gymnastics.

One of my favorite things to do when writing is write a huge and gross run on sentence. Stream of thought as much detail about what Iโ€™m envisioning.

Then I go back over that same stream of information and make it not suck ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿง

NOUS: Archives

A snippet I loved:

On the upper floors, there were more windows broken than intact. There was a large satellite dish suspended from the roof, dangling over the side by cords and twisted metal. It shifted slightly with the breeze, the fingers of a twitching body.

LinkedIn has some of the best unintentional satire on the internet. ๐Ÿ˜‚

All of these loons emboldened by their newfound โ€œwriting ability,โ€ granted by ChatGPT has only compounded the insanity of it.

No Iโ€™m not optimistic about a world where all art is stolen and autogenerated. Jfc.

In my current experience (part of a worldwide, billion dollar corp) email is pretty much just bulletin board. Teams or Slack or whatever inter-office text platform is the bulk of communication.

Thereโ€™s a large portion of that 1st category that DOESNT fit the bill of course, but I think what youโ€™re seeing is common cultural distribution in those industry categories.

3 largest categories of small businesses:

- Professional, Scientific & Technical Services
- Construction
- Transport & Warehousing

People involved in those industries tend to fit the culture demographic (1st cat contains construction adjacent stuff like drafting & landscaping).

I would say in some cases itโ€™s at LEAST marginally better than rubber duck debugging. For those situations where externalizing the issue still leaves you staring at a wall, and any suggestions would be welcome no matter how stupid ๐Ÿ˜‚

Absolutely, I write technical articles and make technical education content. Itโ€™s patently worthless for those purposes because of that trust problem. TBH that makes it patently useless for MOST serious tasks, but you canโ€™t underestimate the human desire to not do work ๐Ÿ˜‚

Absolutely, there ARE ways it could be cool and useful, but in its current state it just canโ€™t adequately justify its own cost. Energetically, societally, or culturally.

Yeah if it were significantly less resource intensive, and properly marked when it was flatly making shit up (which itโ€™s not really capable of doing, because conceptually itโ€™s ALWAYS making shit up even when itโ€™s right) itโ€™d make a great learning tool.

There are use cases where accuracy isnโ€™t necessary, for instance when youโ€™ve reached a wall on a problem and are trying to spitball unexplored perspectives.

Verifying its answers would aid in problem solving.

That being said, not worth the cost, and humans are infinitely better in this use case. ๐Ÿ˜‚

This isnโ€™t just in the history sphere unfortunately.

I made a video not long ago talking about the likely reality that Google themselves are behind many of the AI channels in an effort to pay fewer creators (own the content and the platform).

They wonโ€™t change it until their viewership crashes. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ

This is different from the continued scandals, his other violations of the constitution that have only served to grow his image.

This damages him. Itโ€™s too obvious he has a vested interest in hiding it. Thereโ€™s no way to spin it (logically anyway).

Secrets hold power.

Nothing worse than when you buy a book because conceptually it sounds really interesting, but a huge portion of it is just the author blowing themselves ๐Ÿคฎ

With the rise of data extortion as a whole, attackers are moving away from cryptoware, when they leverage you getting your data back.

Instead, they threaten releasing your data to the public.

Educate everyone with a phone/PC that their data is LEVERAGE.

DELETE WHAT YOU DONโ€™T NEED โ€ผ๏ธ

I work in Disaster Recovery, and designing what if scenarios for companies making these kind of decisions Iโ€™ve realized how little due diligence is done.

Especially true when youโ€™re talking about people focused on driving โ€œinnovationโ€(profits).

Itโ€™s sad but not surprising they didnโ€™t think.

I am a straight up double agent about AI in the workplace.

I put a AI forward front on at work. Being anti AI puts a target on your back.

Meanwhile, every time itโ€™s suggested as a solution I undermine its use case.

All in all, I donโ€™t believe convenience outweighs the damage.

Just an idea. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก
