Today @cancersociety.bsky.social , CIHR, @terryfoxresearch.bsky.social , the Japan Agency for Medical Research & Development, the Cancer Research Society & @biocanrx.bsky.social are investing $41.5 million to change the future of cancer prevention.
This procedure is now recommended in 24 countries. We’re proud to have been an early funder of this work to stop cancer before it starts – and we look forward to seeing adoption continue to grow!

Most ovarian cancer begins in the fallopian tubes. A Canadian Cancer Society funded study found that removing the fallopian tubes during other routine procedures was safe, speedy and could prevent ovarian cancers. Now, new research shows that this lowers #OvarianCancer risk by almost 80%!
