Finally got around to checking out Despelote.
You should play it at some point if you haven't! Slice of life isn't something that interests me normally, but I loved this. Simple and short, but really warm and memorable too.
Monster Hunter World never felt like it reached its peak until Iceborne, so I'm just waiting around until the expansion for Wilds to play the "final" game. Chillin!
I would not recommend the PS3 version lol, yeaaaaah get the special edition at least! much cleaner experience as far as bugs and what not! it should still be pretty cheap itself

I think it’s probably avoided because losing power fantasy as opposed to gaining it wouldn’t feel great, but more importantly the game would also probably lose mechanical depth in the process. Maybe if the horror aspects were really good and it worked well thematically? Nothing’s impossible!
weird to think of games like Destiny or Overwatch more as sports than specific examples of genre, but...kinda
