Basically nothing matters until you can finish a comic. Doesn't have to be long but I talk to so many people who ask how they can pitch to a publisher and I'm sorry but the abstract idea isn't important. Publishers only want to know if you can do a beginning, middle and end and get it done on time.

a cold weather tip from my childhood in Rochester: alternate layering. Im wearing one pair of light socks, over that are a pair of leggings, over that a pair of heavy socks, over that my pants. Do this with hats, hoods, gloves, etc, really helps with wind, keeping out snow, and your layers in place!
