Haha, yeah, it's a 3d render from Blender overpainted in Photoshop to get the analog painting look. And I have a Wacom Cintiq 27″ on my PC, but for less complex artworks I sometimes just use Procreate on iPad.

Yes, and the novel version of 2001 Space Odyssey takes place in the Saturn system (instead of Jupiter system as seen in the Kubrick's movie), which would be very fitting here!

I usually allow the use of my images for non-commercial academic purposes without any charges (scientific/academic presentations, science papers). Just put a credit with my name somewhere near the image and it'll be great :)
Spirit's twin rover, MER-B Opportunity, nicknamed Oppy, robotic rover that was active on Mars from 2004 until 2018. Opportunity was operational on Mars for 5111 sols (it was planned for 90 sols) and travelled over 45 km.

Later this month there's a 5th anniversary of Perseverance rover landing on Mars, so it's a perfect time to do a little throwback series to my Mars rovers artworks, starting with the good old MER-A Spirit, which explored Mars for 1538 days and traveled over 7,5 km.
