Scratch-built a few rustic crates for the truck I’ve been working on, as well as the side armor. Lots of drilling….
It was really fun, but kind of exhausting. I’m switching gears back to something a little looser, so I can recharge a bit.

I’m finally getting back to this after about a year off. This came together pretty quickly in a couple bursts of inspiration, then stalled. Now I’m refining things and adding more fine detail.

Yeah, I saw them a couple time outdoors. Not ideal. The shows at the Channel and the Rat were pretty wild.

I saw them 5 or 6 times at the height of their powers. Truly some of the best live shows I’ve ever seen.

Same thing happened to me with my monkey’s paw. 😢

Going to try to vacuum-form the hood tonight over this. I added some threaded inserts to the underside so I can attach a handle to aid in removing, after.
There were originally more details like louvers etc, but I think they would have been too soft, so I’ll add them later.

I’ve got a direction for the color scheme and can’t wait to start painting.

I’ve started building one of the trucks from Sorcerer (‘77). I’m using this Tamiya cargo truck as the base. It’s all wrong, but I think I can get it close enough. It’s going to be more about vibe than accuracy. It’s a long way away, but I think painting and weathering this will be a blast.

I suspect Lynch lost interest when he was forced to reveal the killer prematurely. I believe he was off making Wild At Heart during much of that period

I’ve been rewatching the original series the last couple of months in preparation for seeing the 3rd season for the 1st time. Really enjoying it, but S2 does lag a bit in the middle.
