Maybe, but it's worth considering that the disorganized sloppy nature of Summer League which mostly rewards transition players is not the best place to evaluate a pass-first PG - especially when there was zero shooting around him.

Only heard about him 3 days ago, but I'm already set to be apoplectic if Thiero isn't a Knick.
Appreciate you sharing this. Sounds like Nora has great and loving parents. I hate that that crackpot has been put in a position to make being great parents harder.
Good stuff. The firing hadn’t completely made sense to me until now.
Knicks played well. Enjoy the win. Don’t put this on the Pacers. And Hali regularly disappears.
OG Anunoby on Mitchell Robinson: "What Mitch does is special. I don’t think there’s anyone in the league doing what he does. Quick feet, quick hands, anticipation on the perimeter at seven feet. Yeah, he’s one of one. It’s unreal to watch."
Love it, James. Whatever rollercoaster may happen on the court, the through line with KAT is he is clearly a deeply good dude.
The Brunson/KAT thing doesn’t work without elite defensive wings. Trading Kal or OG would only make this team worse.
Good stuff, James. Very brave to suggest that the minutes police might not know better than the guy who married basketball.
I remember thinking Noah Vonleh was gonna be something special. The Knicks have come a long way.
The numbers back this up. White is shooting 58.3 percent when Robinson is off the floor, including an absurd 20-of-37 on threes (54.5 percent), and averaging a bonkers 37.1 points per 100 possessions, according to PBP Stats. But when Robinson plays, White is shooting just 4-of-20 from deep (20 percent), and sees his scoring clip plummet by more than half, to 16.5 points per 100 possessions.
derrick white this series:
with mitchell robinson off the court: 54.5 3p% (20-of-37)
with mitchell robinson on the court: 20.0 3p% (4-of-20)
While I am genuinely thrilled for him, Julius Randle’s spectacular play this postseason is *really* not helping my mixed feelings about the current roster construction of the #Knicks.
Only one of them was playing drop. And he wasn’t supposed to.
I know the Celtics made shots, but even with 40+ years of PTSD, that game didn’t strike fear in the heart of this Knick fan. They can absolutely win this.
KB=Kona Brunson?
Hack a Mitch up 29?! Eat a dick Joe Mazzulla. Eat a bag full of dicks.
I know they’re shooting the cover off the ball, but chucking 3s, hack a Mitch in the 1st qtr - I prefer hoops played by humans not simulated by a computer.
When the Celtics are shooting like this, the refs probably don’t need to help them this much.
Knick comeback loading…
All series.
Quietly, Deuce’s shots are getting back to nothing but net.
This was great. You’ve been killing it with these player profiles all year, but you (along with the Knicks) have stepped up your game in the playoffs.
"Right now, though, Thibodeau is doing some of his best work since (re)joining the franchise in 2020. And the Knicks are in prime position to pull off an upset nobody dared to predict because of it."
this is not a paragraph i ever envisioned myself writing. yet, here we are.
Maybe, just maybe, part of the reason they’re stepping on rakes because the Knicks are forcing them to play in a different way than they are used to.
Two days later, still out of my damn mind.
Fuck them picks! #Bridges #Knicks
That win has me out of my damn mind. Knicks in 4!
I LOVE YOU JOSH HART!!!!!
A playoff game being called like this is *not* how you fix the NBA’s ratings problem. #Knicks
Zero flaps given.
