The Dotterel showed really well, if distantly, at Cefn Cadlan, Glamorgan earlier this week with Wheatear, Skylarks & Meadow Pipits enhancing the experience. #UKbirding #birdingWales

It was worth the 'joy' of the A14 to see the Spotted Sandpiper at Grafham Water today. Lifer for me!๐คฉ
Also, Whinchat, Wheatear & Common Sandpiper close by.

Ring Ouzel
Good to see the male Ring Ouzel still at Burton Hastings (13/4), when I eventually found the right sheep field!๐ #warksbirds #ukbirding @birdingcentral.bsky.social
Guess the Hawfinch turned up after I left! ๐ข๐ Good day though despite the rain!
Green Sandpiper
Kestrel
Redshank
Poor quality photo of Slavonian Grebe, but liked the foot action!
First ever trip to Abberton Reservoir on 30th. Lots to see &, although missed some reported birds, it was a great day birding. My highlights Slavonian & BN Grebe, Gt White-fronted Goose, Black-tailed Godwit, Green Sandpiper, smart Grey Wagtail & a plethora of pochard! #ukbirding #essexbirding
Kestrel
Jay
Enjoyable couple of hours birding in the lanes around Shenton this p.m. Highlights for me a Brambling with a flock of Chaffinch, plus Yellowhammer, Greenfinch, GS & Green Woodpecker, Nuthatch, Fieldfare, Redwing, Jay & a Kestrel on an unexpected perch! #vc55birds #ukbirding
Sadly birding cut short as fog descended on Rutland Water, but luckily not before seeing the Red-necked Grebe & Great Northern Diver near the dam. Also a gorgeous group of Goldeneye with some males already doing their head flinging thing - how I envy those flexible necks ๐ #ukbirding #vc55birds
Great to see Velvet Scoter so close at Grimsbury Reservoir, Oxon! #ukbirding
Scanning the area from upstairs window this a.m. when to my amazement a hawfinch landed in a nearby tree top. Stayed less than a minute before flying SE so no chance to get camera which, of course, was downstairs! #warksbirds #ukbirding
You too & thanks again for those great views of the Little Stint through your scope. Hopefully be able to use my scope again soon ๐
