Only becomes opportunistic if there is a space/going to be a space in the squad. If Chiesa went back to Italy on loan, for example, in Jan then it makes sense. Gut feeling is it’s agent talk and our name is being used to flush others into action in January.
Cherki interest from #lfc I’m sure is legit but as always agents coming out a few weeks before Jan trying to get Lyon’s star man a move from a sinking ship is inevitable. Defo ticks the opportunistic profile but unless Chiesa is off then I cannot see where he fits into the squad.

Hmm I can’t say I am I have to be honest. Gut feeling is Mo, Virgil stay and Trent goes. I suspect the delay on all deals is waiting for Trent to commit one way or other and then the other two will get done pretty quickly. Just opinion. Hope all get done asap though.
Haha true! Seen it said elsewhere but I suspect the type of LB we go for will depend on Trent staying/going. Slot ball is defo not two flying FBs getting caught up the pitch so the balance will depend on who starts RB next season.
Hincapie was really good at Anfield the other week. If you’re looking at a more Gvardiol/Calafiori type LB then he’s the one.
