Sorry you missed out. If you're at the show tomorrow please come on by.
This is the 14th annual Convention Horror Stories panel at ECCC and, as the panel title states, it's become a show tradition, with anecdotes that shock and delight the standing-room-only audience.
Get there early if you want a seat.

Make your own convention traditions. No one can stop you.
Make memories.
Make friends.
You can't control career, success or legacy, all you can do is your best and keep telling stories.

Sacrificing souls on the Altar of Rock.
Once is a thing.
Twice is an event.
Thrice is a habit.
After that it's a tradition.
This Thursday night tradition started many years ago because we were comic newbies who couldn't get invited to industry meet-ups and now it's the pro hangout with all our friends. Surreal.
Karaoke Strike Force ECCC 2026 in full effect.
The panel went great!
Thank you to everyone who attended.

Just received my first convention offer for 2027. Very cool but also surreal.
This week is Emerald City Comic Con in Seattle and I'll be there all 4 days! It's one of my favorite shows each year.
I'm on panels (Convention Horror Stories, LitRPGs), doing signings, and set up with Comic Sketch Art in Artist Alley at TABLE A-23!

Grabbing a bite + pint after dropping my stuff at the hotel.
Pub is playing the Tragically Hip. Feels like I'm still in Canada.
Whaaaaa~?
Touchdown Seattle.
Got some research reading done on the flight. Now I'm looking forward to seeing friends this week at ECCC!
Thank you for the support!
It's amazing to watch families in Artist Alley. Older Dads ignore almost everything, but then they see my banner and their eyes light up-
"Oh man, I used to read Conan back in the day!"
I show them the new Conan issues and if they're not already buying it their family gets it for rhem as a gift.
I have similar energy with "your Dad's favorite new comic writer" on Conan the Barbarian.
It's a badge of honor to reconnect old school collectors to their youth and, besides, Dads have deep pockets for their nostalgia.
A cartoon from the 1950βs thatβs more relevant than ever π
It's officially licensed fabric from a company called Camelot Fabrics. Quilting stores are the most likely to carry it, and there are a few online places that stock it as well! There's a bunch of other designs as well: camelot.ca/collections/...
Here are the other two she's made for me so far:

Old School Marvel
Unfortunately, all the material we didn't want to keep is now gone.
Friends took most of it and then the rest was donated to a local theater group.
Not sure where she bought it, but apparently it is an official licensed fabric, not a bootleg.
Stacy sewed a new shirt for me just in time for Emerald City Comic Con - D&D 1st edition monsters!
Yes, she is the best.
I am so damn fortunate.

So 80's it hurts. :D
Thank you for the support on Conan. Deeply appreciated.
Thanks so much for the high praise!
