i'm old enough to remember when this guy was the second coming.
ah i see bluesky has lost its damn mind today.
they could have literally used some off brand AI prompt to come up w/ branding, like wtf is this league even doing?
The PHWPA+ had like 4 years to come up with their alternative to the PHF and it looks like they were just doing to equivalent of cramming the night before the test.
The PWHL working so hard to distance themselves from PHF entirely that they've somehow landed on "no identity" as the way to move forward for now. The people in charge of this new league don't seem to have any idea what they're doing.
I am 43 & Every single Republican Presidency in my lifetime has ended in an economic crisis that the next Democratic presidency has had to urgently clean up & yet somehow Republicans are still more trusted on the economy & i feel like I'm insane
There is no question to which this is the right answer
Trump calls political enemies ‘vermin,’ echoing dictators Hitler, Mussolini
Trump’s spokesman says “those who try to make that ridiculous assertion” comparing him to fascists will see “their entire existence will be crushed” when Trump is president again.

The entrance fee for senior communities runs 100k to 1M. Most people pay for it by selling their homes. The greatest wealth transfer in history will absolutely be from Boomers to the senior services industy.
In honor of Joe Manchin retiring, let’s remember the fact that he single-handedly ended the Child Tax Credit, one of the most effective anti-poverty pieces of legislation in recent history, because he thought parents would use that money for drugs.

as has been the case for several years, they have 2-3 really good players, 2-3 guys that are talked about as really good players but don't fit the bill and a lot of mediocrity in the rest of the lineup (+ no goaltending)
"The data shows that the number of people becoming destitute is currently outstripping our ability to set up new correctional facilities to imprison them."
a protest vote is not generated by putting a null in the ballot box but by putting someone else's name down in the primary.
i’m not pearl clutching. but it is simply true from any sustained study of american politics that “i will vote for you and give you shit” is more effective in getting what you want than “i will not vote for you and also give you shit”
i actually agree w/ all these points? www.theglobeandmail.com/sports/artic...
looking forward to even more DEEP insights from the nhl's tracking data across a sample size of 3 that could have been derived from the pbp about 10 years ago!
I'll Die On This Hill Time: Teenagers are still children, no matter what Riverdale and other modern media might suggest. If a 6'3" kid comes to your door with a mustache and is costumed and polite, they deserve candy and kindness just as much as the kindergartners do.
Asked by Rogan on Tuesday what led to his decision to purchase Twitter — which has since been rebranded to X — Musk said: I mean, this is going to sound somewhat melodramatic, but I was worried that it was having a corrosive effect on civilization. That it was just having a bad impact and, I mean, part of it is that it’s where it was located, which is, you know, downtown San Francisco, and while I think San Francisco is a beautiful city and we should really fight hard to kind of right the ship of San Francisco, if you walk around downtown San Francisco, right near the X/Twitter headquarters, it’s a zombie apocalypse. I mean, it’s rough.
So... wait, Elon is now blaming Twitter for the issues with downtown San Francisco? This meandering nonsense is getting positively Trumpian.

So the part of this circle that I can't square is that they did something worthy of losing a 1st round pick, but also wasn't worthy of any punishment a year and a half ago.
Elon Musk: "They absolutely want your extinction"
"They absolutely want your extinction."
Today, Elon Musk wildly increased his race-war rhetoric and promotion of white nationalism in a reply to a complaint by a white supremacist about the melting down of the Charlottesville Robert E Lee statue.
"I’ve got nothing against people who work at Burger King, but that’s all I’m qualified for right now. Welcome to Burger Rama – can I take your order?"
Mike Peluso, commenting on his retirement from hockey.
quick, someone in the national media ask this kid if the kid disavows and disowns hamas
Watching people on tv talk about how losing a girlfriend and losing a job are stressors that can play a part in motivating a mass shooter and nobody’s talking about the fact that women lose jobs and relationships too and it literally almost never ends in mass murder.
Maybe there won't be as many people constantly talking about Taylor Swift on bluesky. One can dream lmao
The world has made real progress in bending down the curve of future emissions.
While we remain far from on track to meet our climate goals, the positive steps we’ve made should reinforce that progress is possible and despair is counterproductive.

at least do it in a position where you can kinda sway the outcome singlehandedly like being a goalie or a boxer taking a dive
Anti-Semitism is poison. Hamas's attack was barbaric and disgusting. And still, what is happening in Gaza is immoral.
This sums it up. No matter how much I detest Hamas, it can’t justify Israel slaughtering thousands of kids.
Come on, Gary. Have a little pride in your work. #nhl
