That's actually confused me too ngl
Like why don't they point this out, given how two Dark Fountains in the same Dark World, y'know, makes a Titan??
I guess it really IS just a weird stylistic thing, but how does this even work spatially?

THIS; I hate how complicated coding is for me, but I'd rather struggle my ass off with it or just not deal with it at all than ask a clanker to do my work for me
(Serious inquiry)
If anyone is looking for a roommate in a city along the North East corridor (DC, NYC, Boston, etc), please let me know. I'm looking for somewhere to move. It's urgent. I'm also open to West Coast cities.

Happy International Women's Day!
I don't know if I can make anything in time, but I can post this artwork again :3
Four concept drawings, consisting of, from left to right: A small, chubby, light-blue alien with two glistening black eyes, a vertical mouth, and nubs for limbs and antennae. A slim, bronze robot with brown-ish limbs and dark-brown joints, with a visor and a speaker on their head. A bright red, eyeless, grimacing quadruped with sharp horns for legs, as well as on their head with some antennae. A large, cubic, green robot with an angry-looking visor on their hemispherical head, and bulky cones for hands.
So yesterday I thought of this lighthearted sci-fi TTRPG where you can make your own alien species or robot model to play as by choosing positive and negative traits, and while I probably won't be able to make smth like that, I still wanted to doodle some character design ideas I had lul

Thanks so much everyone for spreading this, the more people aware, the more we can do to stop Google from getting away with it! Even if you're not a developer, you can still help by signing the petition or installing F-Droid in your device as the blog mentions.

Please, PLEASE, be loud about this topic, Android being open is what makes it useful, you own your phone and you should be able to install apps from wherever you wish to, don't let Google tell you what's allowed on the device you payed for!

To be clear, queer stories will be told regardless of what bad-faith politicians do. We always find a way. But kids need to know they're part of a community too, and laws like these are intended to cut them off.
Politicians crying that they're just "protecting the children" while doing the exact opposite is nothing new, but if this becomes law it could effectively end the careers of some of you favorite queer creators (including mine!)

So, while their system does have potential to meaningfully improve the world, I'm concerned and disappointed by the apparent fact that they're trying to circumvent the process for ensuring that the real benefits of their proposal aren't outweighed by any downsides.
However, I'm deeply concerned about the effects Reflect's system could have on wildlife, nearby residents, and, most worryingly, pilots who could be affected by beams of light slewing into position on a target. These are all real effects, and need to be properly studied prior to any approval.
Reflect Orbital plans to primarily use their mirrors to illuminate solar farms during peak electricity demand hours (right after sunset), and doing so could meaningfully accelerate our switch to renewable energy, something we desperately need to do.
With respect to the other proposal, Reflect Orbital, I have more complex feelings. While I'm concerned by their proposal as written, I do know some of their engineers IRL, and I know they are smart, talented people who have the best intentions.
The Milky Way galaxy near the constellation Sagittarius, splashed across the sky above the National Scouting Museum at the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, NM.
And beyond even our research, it's important to protect the night sky just for its own sake. I spent most of last summer living in a Bortle 2 area, and the stars were life-changing. Everyone should be afforded that experience, and AI compute shouldn't be allowed to take it away.
In scrolling through the comments, I'm thrilled to see some names I recognize (@astronomisty.bsky.social I see you!). The more of our community can step up and demand a comprehensive environmental review of these proposals, the more likely it is to happen.
This proposal, along with Reflect Orbital's proposal to beam sunlight down from space at night, pose a significant threat to the work that myself, my friends, my colleagues, and many of my followers on this platform do every day.
The FCC just opened public comments on SpaceX's plan to launch a million satellites to do AI compute in space. Under the current proposal, an environmental review won't be required. Please consider submitting a public comment to oppose this damaging plan.

Also yes the leftmost alien is based on flour sacks because animation's on my mind

Nick Wilde from Zootopia, a bust shot. He has orange fur, green eyes, and a green floral-patterned shirt with a dark tie. He looks to the side about to talk.
