lost an HOUR to the level grind in tartarus block 4 (yes it is that bad) but managed to finish only 10 minutes behind. I learned about so many weird edge cases in this run, so I'm feeling very good about getting sub 10 in the future.

that one scan causing omega grief

no longer avoiding spoilers, so i look at the prime speedrun discord and ofc it's structured so that these are the first two words you see in the prime 4 section

also, the endgame key hunt... this is the most hated staple of the prime series, but i've always defended it. finding them required engaging with the area's indigenous lore, and let you experience the map as a more cohesive entity.

this key hunt was tedious and had none of that.

the exploration is lacking. corruption had problems with this too, but that game took place across multiple planets, which limits area connectivity, so it was forgivable. beyond did not have this problem and somehow still did a worse job.

prime 4 teases a lot of promise, but never fulfills it, then falls flat on its face at the end. how they managed to fuck it up that badly is... hehe... BEYOND me.

i had fun. the combat is excellent, almost as good as echoes. but it is not a good metroid game.

crimson heart was so scary for this, my green jokers were at +46 mult each so it kinda hurt on the turns they got disabled

high card was at 105x11 and i had a red seal stone card, so the straight flush at the end was probably not necessary but we take those
