My latest everyone
The cover of Exquisite Undead: An Anthology of Vampires curated by T.L. Morgan. It shows an androgynous vampire figure holding a glass of blood, amidst an intricate background that looks like a stained glass window. There are motifs of roses and bats among the stained glass. The vampire is facing away from the viewer, with their head turned slightly over their shoulder and a slight smirk on their face.

I am THRILLED to show you the cover of my upcoming vampire anthology, EXQUISITE UNDEAD!
This stunning artwork is by R.E. Murray, who took my vision to an unbelievable level. It's PERFECT π€©

Two men posing for a selfie outdoors. The younger man is in the foreground, wearing a white hoodie and looking at the camera. The older man is behind him, wearing a striped shirt and holding a metal pole. Buildings and temporary shelters are visible in the background.
A young man in a white hoodie, looking to the side, surrounded by tarps.
Woman in a black hijab holding tent poles, with other people working on a tent in a refugee camp setting.
Our tent is gone, and the cold is very harsh. We are now without shelter. My parents are sick, and we urgently need a tent. $265 is still needed to buy a tent to shelter us.
Please help us or share this post. π€

Exactly, and for setting up a long term relationship, I need to know why they want to *stay* together.
Northern Californiaβs first condor egg in 100 years reported in redwood tree
Who COULDNβT use some good news? β Scientists with the Yurok Tribe say that two of dozens of condors released to the wild in Humboldt County since 2022, to reestablish the endangered birds, have paired up, built a nest in a redwood tree and appear to be tending to an egg.β

My dog is both the sweetest little guy and an absolute gremlin. Sometimes he'll sit with his paws crossed like a little gentleman, other times he'll take a running start and then jump and kick a person with all 4 paws like it's a finishing move.
Positive? I dunno, but it's made life interesting!
Thank you, Lauren! π

For artists trying to walk that wobbly, unreliable line of unique style and making money at conventions, I feel for you. I wish there was an easy answer.
I will say that I, personally, am way more willing to spent 3x as much when I see someone is a feral creature about their craft.
I want to see whatever you hyperfocus is in zine form!! I want to see folks who get excited about finding the *perfect* handmade paper for their work. I want to hear that they've finally perfected their dream glaze recipe. I want weird, niche art to find it's people, even if it's not for me.
The LA Printer's Fair was a such an amazing show exactly for this reason. Every single vendor's art had such personality!
I don't want resellers or stolen, pixelated art lasered onto a mug or tote. I want to see hand stitching! I want fingerprints and wonky color registration from analogue printing
I would love to see more local markets with affordable tables that have vetting processes. If I go to a craft fair or art market, I want to see things made by hand.
Show me your ceramics, linocuts, riso prints, screenprints, cut paper art! Metal work, woodwork, watercolors and unique styles!
And I'll see a few incredible artists sprinkled in, trying their best to make up the truly ridiculous table costs they had to pay.
I get it, everyone is trying to make a buck in this economy, but I will always prioritize paying artists and crafters who put time and care and skill into their work.
Looking at all the Artist Alley and comic convention posts and nodding along.
I'll add in that I've noticed a lot of my local art markets have tons of 'junk' booths lately. Just stolen images slapped onto canvas bags and mugs, booths that are just resellers with no original crafts or art.

If anyone is waiting on an email from me, my apologies, I've been feeling ill all week, but I promise I'll get to you as soon as I can!
I've developed a rule for reading and writing #romance and #romantasy: the "hot people make bad romance" rule. If your romance wouldn't happen if the characters weren't physically attractive, I'm bored. The *dynamic* needs to be sexy, not the bodies.
You worded it really well, it's something that I think about often when reading romances. If the only compelling factor for the characters are looks, then I'm already putting the book down.
