I understand Discord's desire to protect children but ALSO - we should be a lot harsher on parents for not using control tools that ALREADY EXIST.
We shouldn't transform the internet into a police state just because irresponsible parents want to give an unsupervised iPad to their toddlers.

Reading this, I get the sense that they're just trying to calm folks down, which doesn't inspire confidence in age verification. 😤
Sounds like Ireland might become addicted to cars. Cars kill 20+ pedestrians per day in the USA, you really don't want to let motorists blame pedestrians and cyclists for anything or they will start killing people for fun.
Still a great piece, and it reminds you that space itself is limited by greedy people who want returns on investments now rather then advancing humanity to the stars, which is what we should be doing.
