Ah yes, the “if you don’t know everything then you don’t know anything” gambit, very solid, very effective 🙄

<brando voice> look at what they did to my beans, they massacred my beans
After all, a Horst is a Horst, of courst, of courst

no, presidents tyler and fillmore were the same person
+1 for 2, that's a fork for any occasion
The fine and performing arts are also part of that front porch; funny how that's happening while those departments are under constant threat of cuts and shutdown rather than support.
been there in various ways at various points in my career; workload mismanagement has pretty much been a through-line for me for the last 20 years. what's the best way for me to tell you more?
also, there's nothing wrong with mozzie (not being flip; badenoch is more than badenough)
in this hour of greatest darkness, fervently hoping for a glimmer of the redemptive dawn, we place our faith in...pedro porro...wait, that can't be it...crap
It can be so hard to believe that your brain is lying to you while it’s in the middle of lying to you. Hang in there, friend.
You know what you could do today instead of doomscrolling all day is go pick up a copy of Persepolis. It is stunningly good.
it's a bad morning for america but a great morning for fff concert toms
It really is about making the conductor do ridiculous choreography over a basic two-step.
his episode of behind the music would half-length because there's no downfall to start talking about 35 minutes in
Starmer and Badenoch both using "divisive" and "sectarian" on the same day seems like a giant tell.

i'm no constitutional lawyer, but a bill that makes specific past legal actions illegal sure as hell sounds like a bill of attainder
You haven't described guitars at "chiming" or "jangly" yet, so there are still some options available.

Actually please get out your pencils, it is indeed a test
If they found a way to eliminate faculty while still offering instruction, conferring degrees, taking tuition money, and paying themselves salaries, they would do it in a heartbeat.

I think a big part of this is getting students to jettison the idea that your melody notes have to be "legal" vis a vis whatever chord is active at the moment. Melodies are pentatonic with the very occasional fa or ti (but not both) for color, and as long as the active chord is diatonic, you're good
The use cases for ti are limited and pretty well cabined. A good example is the interior ti-do-sol repeating interior melodic fragment in the choruses of "A Thousand Miles." (It's clearer in the second chorus, guitar.) This is how it should be buried if it appears.
