Thank you, sir. So are we.

Narrative Content Coordinator for The Division 2 at Massive Entertainment/Ubisoft. Will probably mostly post nonsense about video games, books, writing, counter-culture and whatever random hobby I'm obsessed with this month. He/him.
Thank you, sir. So are we.
I'm not that young and cute man anymore.
So glad we got to tease this. I'm so excited. #thedivision2
That's where it's from. π Illuminatus! is about - amongst other things - a group of Discordians. I was quite involved with it back in the 90s as well, and this book was formative for me. Highly recommended then!
The cover of the Swedish translation of Illuminatus! by Robert Shea and Robert Anton Wilson. The book is big, blue and features an eye on the triangle at the top, printed in gold.
The title page of the Swedish translation of Illuminatus!. The text, in full, reads Robert Shea & Robert Anton Wilson ILLUMINATUS! ΓGAT I PYRAMIDEN DET GYLLENE ΓPPLET LEVIATAN i ΓΆversΓ€ttning av Peter Ebeling & Pelle Lindhe VERTIGO FΓRLAG MALMΓ/GΓTEBORG 2020
Probably one of the craziest projects I've heard of - the Swedish translation of Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea's Illuminatus! trilogy. Why would anyone do this to themselves? Love that it exists. Found it for $2 on a Swedish auction site, so quite a bargain... Hail Eris indeed.
Jesus Christ.
Metacritic has sent a reminder email to all games site editors/publishers which is pretty strong, and great:
Working in game narrative, I sometimes can't help thinking about that somewhere out there is the writer(s) who wrote the barks "time is money, friend" and "my, you're a tall one" for World of Warcraft. And history was born.
I know. I guess it's because I've posted some occult books.
Oh, got added to my first fake moderation lists together with a bunch of occultists, tarot readers and queer people, claiming we're MAGA conspiracy theorists. Seems like some of the creators have been banned already. Vet your moderation lists before subscribing, people!
Three small, black, wall lamps lighting up 12 framed Japanese Akira covers.
New lights up on the Akira wall in the hallway. I'm happy, but all of the sudden you can clearly see all the dust on the frames... Welp.
Copies of Kenneth Grant's The Magical Revival and Aleister Crowley and the Hidden God + Servants of the Star & the Snake - Essays in Honour of Kenneth & Steffi Grant, edited by Henrik Bogdan.
Got three Kenneth Grant books today and I'm looking forward to digging into them. Haven't read Grant since 2001-ish. I'm not a huge fan of his theories, but he's still fascinating - and no matter what I think of him, he did take #Thelema in... unexpected directions. No room in my bookshelves though.
I know, and I used to get that - but not anymore. There are places to go, we're posting on one that has the same functionality, for example. Yes, organizing a move can be hard. There will always be holdouts. But it should still happen. It's no longer okay to be there.
Get off X, ffs. How hard can it be? What will it take? If the white supremacy, the AI generating porn of people, or the millions spent on fascist causes aren't doing it, what will?
[Scene is a kitchen - a middle aged woman called JANET is boiling peas at the stove. A younger more colourfully dressed woman named LIZ approached her.] JANET: Ugh... LIZ: What's up? JANET: I am so bored of cooking peas! LIZ: Have you tried... AI peas? JANET: AI peas? LIZ: They're peas with AI! [Liz holds up to us a packet of peas labelled: Pea-i AI - Peas with AI]. LIZ: Al-powered peas harness the potential of your peas JANET: What LIZ [Now a voiceover as we cut to a whizzy technology diagram of peas all connected by meaningless dotted lines] Why not take your peas to the next level with Al Peas' new Al tools to power your peas? [Show a techno diagram of a pea with a label reading 'AI' pointing to a random zone in it] LIZ: Each pea has Al in a way we haven't quite worked out yet but it's fine [Show Janet and Liz now in a Matrix-style world of peas] LIZ: With Al peas you can supercharge productivity and make AI work for your peas! JANET: What LIZ: Shut up LIZ: Our game-changing Pea-Al gives you the freedom to unlock the potential of the power of the future of your peas workflow From opening the bag of peas to boiling the peas to eating the peas To spending millions on adding Al to the peas and then having to work out what that even means. JANET: Is it really necessary to- LIZ [Grabbing Janet by the collar]: THE PEAS HAVE GOT AI, JANET [Cut to an advert ending screen, with the bag of peas and the slogan: AI PEAS: Just 'Peas' for god's sake buy the AI peas. Thanks. β€οΈ I am not 100% happy with how it came out, but I saw this build as an experiment. Next few ones will probably be clean, until I have a solid plan.

Finished my RX-78-2 #Gundam build. I've learned a lot. Nice to feel "done" and to move on to the next project. I need to work on the photography and posing for the next one too. But for my first build ever, I'm happy with it! #gunpla
Haha, good point! π
A Gunpla model of the classic RX-78-2 Gundam mech, with flat top coat making it more matte than the original plastic.
Top coat done, mistakes were probably made, but wow, it makes a difference. Of course, looking at this photo, I see the damaged decal on one of the legs... Now for weathering (and a new decal) and another coat before I call this one done. #gunpla
I'll finally get to GM a one-shot next week - plan to do Cotteburn Gaol. Excited to play, almost more excited for character creation. Gief Thou Shall Not Suffer the Wycce now please.
That reads like bad satire. Because it is? Right? Right...? Oh God.
David Bowie, probably from his late 90s era with his short hair, with an intense face, singing into a microphone.
Today we celebrate the Greater Feast of David Bowie, who died 10 years ago today. He's the one artist that has had the biggest impact on my life and helped shape me. His loss will always be felt. You can tell me all about it on the next Bardo, Mr Bowie.
First time at Roskilde music festival in 1998, 17 years old. Leaned back in the grass and shoved my wrist into a broken bottle. Got extremely lucky, but still have a big scar. If I touch it, it tickles in my palm. Been accused of having tried to commit suicide.
Checked old notes, March 2017. π Shit, I haven't even started that one... And you too!
Hehe, then I deserve some credit for introducing them to the team... π Must have been 2016/early 2017. Oh God...
Haha, I'm exactly the same with GCP after going on an audio book bender. Soooo many episodes - and I stopped in September last year! Time for Chaos, Get in the Trunk, Blood of the Wild, those three alone are a bit overwhelming. But with no rush, it should be a celebration. So much content to enjoy.

And with @rodneyorpheus.bsky.social's Abrahadabra arriving today, I've finally gathered the four "beginners" books I lost ~20 years ago in the editions I used to have them in. It feels so good to have them back in my bookshelf. Here's a lesson, kids - never let anyone borrow your books.
A Gunpla model of the classic RX-78-2 Gundam, holding a gun and a red shield with a yellow cross on it. It's standing on a green cutting mat on a desk.
Ok, first Gunpla built. Almost felt sad wrapping up the build, but with four new kits on the way, it was probably for the best. Waiting for Gundam Markers to give it some proper panel lining. Such a great experience building this thing.
Wow, that's one hell of a surprise.
