After reading this book, I have a new courage to do something that I’ve avoided for years.
That would be a fascinating read
75 pages read. I was correct in thinking I’d enjoy this memoir, but I was woefully wrong regarding how affected I’d be from the narrative. Addiction is not a demon I suffer from. But I finally have a better understanding of how evil this demon is. Pub’d by @univnebpress.bsky.social.
Deighton seldom disappoints. His novel WINTER is my favorite of his works. It’s a bit messy at points, but it’s a helluva fun read. His Berlin trilogy is also quite good.
