Europe needs to get its act together. FNF Europeโs Europe 2050 Vision Lab last week in Brussels concluded that more actively promoting freedom, innovation, liberal-democracy, civil rights, an open economy and a federal approach would help Europe become the global player that it needs to be.
Seminar at the Theodor-Heuss-Akademie der Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung in Gummersbach. Three days discussing the Liberal response to right-populism. Also the last ever seminar here, at what had become the centre of global Liberalism. What remains are the many inspiring memories. Thank you!
Western European liberals can learn much from their East European friends about safeguarding liberal democratic institutions. The merger of the two European FNF regions is an exciting opportunity. I am thrilled to be in Sofia at the regional meeting of my colleagues in southeast and east Europe.
