There’s an Amtrak connector bus from the Martinez station to Petaluma. It drops off at the transit center close to downtown (and the SMART train station, too).

I'm not the biggest fan of their partnership with Instacart, which has a history of mistreating contractors (firsthand side hustle experience), so I'll really miss Shipt. I look forward to checking out their travel, optical, etc. deals. And, being a morning person, the new Executive shopping hour.

Swapped out that Red Card for a Costco membership.

I can't lie: I've been missing strolling those shiny aisles since February. But money talks, and Target has already lost thousands of dollars of ours.

I hope we can go east, someday, too, to meet the Capitol Corridor! Such an important connection.

Yesterday the RP-C library hosted a Drag Queen story hour; there were mutterings from the MAHAs re: protesting. Well, they clucked off (yay!), but there WAS a nice crowd of young people to counter. Flags, bubbles, colors. Bit out of place as a Basic Old, but I take library inclusivity seriously!

My son & I were discussing the hotel/etc. overlay plan for Petaluma's historic downtown. As a cinephile, something hit me that I don't think has been given much heed: it's a great filming location for architectural character.

A valuable heritage to jeopardize courting money of wealthy visitors.
