Newsom is not my favorite at all. I do agree in everyone’s freedom to live their lives and seek health care as they see fit.

It could be argued he is marketing trans rights (in part) as “personal freedom to healthcare”. He’s been clear he thinks ALL people should have the care they need and it be between the person and their doctor.
Trans women in women’s sports is not popular. It’s routinely brought up in focus groups as an issue they support Trump on. It doesn’t seem to matter that this is a statistically nonexistent occurrence.
This is ableism and eugenics and it’s most ugly.
