Itโs almost like the UKโs right-wing press doesnโt actually reflect public opinion but instead the fevered imaginations of a very small group of sociopaths.

Remember folks: opposing 25 years of escalating war, slaughter and horror is insanely extreme and possibly treasonous, a threat that the police need to crack down hard upon. Cheering it all on and baying for more is Sensible, Moderate and patriotic.
three quarters of the national newspapers I saw in the supermarket today went with a variation of "beloved international statesman Donald Trump calls PM a pussy, we love this" and the commercial logic of caping so hard both a war and a president that are both massively unpopular is ... questionable
Britain's 'patriotic' press cheering on the latest attacks on us by a hostile foreign leader
But also, it shows how if you break something once, it's easier to break it again. The pretence that we won't just do whatever the Americans want gets thinner every time around.
Ffs.
Letโs be crystal clear, Reform has admitted any polling infringements (which it *always* claims, btw) were electorally inconsequential, but is working with Mail to use them to problematise the fact of brown people whoโve lived here decades but remain commonwealth citizens, having the right to vote.
As journalists working today many of us are taught to recognise disinformation when we see it and fight back against it.
Unfortunately there are some who willingly seek it out and put it on their front pages. A disgrace to the profession.
Equating the Greens with Reform is the dumbest response possible.
The hypocrisy and stupidity is staggering.
look at those faces!
It's funny to see them melt and shriek in horror but then the lads will actually do everything in their power to extinguish the idea that an alternative is possible.
Matt Goodwin looking like an idiot with flags and doing double thumbs up.
Sad trombone

We make fun of elon but this is a clean win for him. Even after rebranding twitter as a goebbels computer with A.I. revenge porn journalists stayed on it frying their brains for retweets from jd vance and faulty sean spicer clones. Now theyโre writing โDoes AOCโs Brain Smell Different?โ
I thought the day couldn't get better but #c4news just dropped this photo of Andrew leaving the police station, and I
Since probably the parliamentary expenses scandal in 2009, barely a year has passed without some section of British life being revealed to be utterly rotten with sexual abuse, corruption or greed, and our political and media classes will unite to kick the fuck out of anyone trying to change it.
What will follow is a determined attempt to limit the contagion by isolating a couple of individuals (Andrew and Peter Mandelson) who will become utterly disgraced, but will carry the can for the whole system, which will continue largely untouched.
For any non-Brits watching this, it is absolutely inconceivable that members of the establishment face consequences, get arrested etc, unless it is so nakedly corrupt and illegal that it threatens the whole rotten edifice.
Brilliant, but let's remember that Andy is being sacrificed here as the rotten apple to limit the damage for *everything else*...
Predator: Badlands is a pretty big departure from the formula but quickly won me over. Particularly enjoyed the 'Shadow of the Colossus' type vibes of parts.
Mr Demos of Pnyx @gem_ste X.com I had a vague sense things were always going to improve in my lifetime right up until 2001 and the insane bullshit that came out of the Bush & Blair govts. This was compounded by the 2008 GFC and the final nail in the coffin for any optimism for the UK was Cameron's 2010 govt. daz ยฎ @MetamateDazโข 12h Something that breaks my heart as a Millennial is how fucking optimistic and fun our teenage years and 20s were. Like we envisioned a TOTALLY different world from the one that we've got and insanely divorced from what Gen-...
This is right: it was clear straight away that the party was over and things were now going to get very, very nasty. And indeed, every year since has been worse - more stupid, more needlessly cruel, more exploitative, more vicious, uglier, meaner and nastier.
One day there will be a reckoning for how Arsenal Football Club dealt with this case. And Iโm afraid that includes the manager
Weโll always have those two good pre-season games (one of which we lost)
I reckon I think about how insane this is at least once every waking hour, at the moment.
