Sorry, I am feeling kind of not so great right this moment (every day I am suddenly flooded with absolute horror at least a handful of times, when I remember where and when I live - namely earth, 2026 - and what's going on).
The fact of it being 69 hours is saucy and sensual ... not so much the campaign.
I am told that this derives from the fact that the numerals 6 and 9 mirror one another along both axes, which some see as a pictoral representation of two people performing simultaneous mouth-to-genital stimulation.
I just want everyone to know that , as of this hour, and for the duration of this one hour only, there are 69 hours left to go in my Kickstarter campaign, which I am told is very saucy and quite sensual.

"Artists peak at 30", "30 under 30", "by 30 you should" ridiculous. Arts industries capital craves young people to exploit and burn out. It doesn't want older artists thriving and guiding the young. It also doesn't want artists to exist. Stop letting cannibals tell you you only matter on a plate.
I have too many reasons, and in order for me (personally, due to various features of my neurotype) to feel satisfied with my explanation, I have to start at the fundamentals of computing, and most people check out by the time I say the words "transistor-based, binary Von Neumann architechture."
I am SO tired of having to justify my zero tolerance anti-AI stance over and over again on an interpersonal basis (like it isn't already draining enough just to live in a world where that shit exists) that I'm thinking of just putting together a pamphlet Zine and handing it out to anyone that asks.
Yeah, there's a reason why account farms and similar services exist, sadly, though I doubt that it ever works out well for those artists / authors in the long term.
There have to be ways to make things moderately sustainable on a smaller, more humble scale. Gotta figure that out. Maybe "new pulp."
If I was a smart tech executive right now (probably an oxymoron) I'd be investing in a developing model of internal longevity and sustainability, and weaning my company off of "growth" ... but I'm just a bum with 30 bucks in their pocket, so what do I know.

People still make new models of refrigerator, new cars, new TVs, and new mattresses, but cars, fridges, etc. are no longer the revolutionary, society-altering things they used to be. They are just things. Binary Computers have real, material limits. The growth spurt is over. It's okay.
Like all of us, the "tech industry" will ultimately have to content with the fact that it has grown old, that it isn't the spry, boundless thing it used to be. It can't grow forever. The boom is over. It is part of the fabric of life now, but that means it is on the slow, incremental track.
Under capitalism, unprofitable technology is shunted or delayed all the damn time, but the illusion of endless, forward marching "progress" (i.e. value for shareholders) must be maintained by any means necessary ... hence the now decade long scramble for "the next big thing": Crypto, NFTs, VR, AI...
*Eh, that last sentence got away from me. You know what I'm saying.
When the bubble pops, LLMs won't entirely go away, but they cost too much to sustain at scale without the promise of profit, and there is no miracle coming down the pipeline to change this fact. So that too is going to "stop" it.
If, somehow, humanity continues to advance - ACTUALLY advance, not get distracted by shiny toys and gimmicks - it will have to be through development in socioeconomic systems and public infrastructure.
Anything else, what they're actually trying to stop, leads us all down cyberpuke dystopia lane.
Ultimately, there are strong financial and ideological incentives for the drivers of this current fervor to actively hold back genuine technological progress.
But if there is to be a real technological revolution any time soon, it will NOT happen in "information technology"/ computing.
They've literally built a golden calf out of non-actionable sci-fi fantasies, duct tape, graphics cards, and all-consuming heat just to make sure that we plebs don't realize that the oil no longer needs to flow, that better means of production are possible across the board ... at their expense.
And one absolutely CAN stop "technology." In fact, the AI push is an attempt to do so ... the Binary Computing revolution has been over for years - it is a "mature" field that has "limited growth potential." What DOES have revolutionary potential? Green energy, for one. The billionaires hate that.
What I didn't go into, because I have better things to do, is the fact that the underlying premise is ultimately flawed, and largely based on marketing bluster.
There is no "technology" to "stop" here. AI is not a new technology. It is a very costly reapplication of relatively old technology.
What did he think was gonna happen, seriously? If I WAS a bumbling luddite and there was no good reason to oppose "progress," it's not like I'd change my mind for a random call center guy.
Did he think he was going to "wow me with logic" and I'd go, "You know what? AI is actually the bees knees!"
And I am sure it went in one ear and out the other, and he snickered to himself smugly afterwards, but DUDE, what are you DOING hitting customers with "you can't stop technology" on a service call? At least that way, I could cut any potential "debate" off, laid out my points and got back to biz.
I told him that no, I code and use computers for a semblance of a living, but that I was not on board with the way "AI" was polluting for no functional reason (cars at least get you places), the way datacenters are literally choking black communities, the way slop is IP theft and pollutes culture...
In better news, I gave him what he asked for, in brief, and more eloquently than I thought I was capable of - I think I was just so friggin' taken aback that a customer service rep would choose THAT as a personal affront. He tried to call me an "old fashioned soul" or a "purist," and it set me off.
Like WHAT?! I am calling for basic customer service and billing support, not to have a philosophical "debate." You asked me why I'm cancelling (or, rather, DID cancel 1 year back), and I politely give you a reason, and you have the AUDACITY to tell me my reason is PHILOSOPHICALLY UNSOUND? WTF my guy
Just had a call with ionos because they tried to invoice me again for services cancelled a year ago, and the guy was like "what is the main reason, is it just the cost," and I was like "that, and the AI stuff"
And the dude ACTUALLY TRIED TO DEBATE AI WITH ME: "Sir, you can't hold back technology."
