The second you leave this country for even a few days, you realize the place you call home is decaying at an almost exponential pace. The realization that you don't have to live like this is stark, and that nobody in power is taking tangible actions to fix it in your lifetime is even starker.

The offseason isn’t over yet. I’ll judge Stearns when Tucker, Bellinger, Bregman, Valdez, and Suarez are all off the board. I still think they end up adding one of more of these guys.

Okamoto would be the safer bet.

His underlying metrics scare me. Murakami strikes out a ton, especially on balls in the zone. I want the Mets to go after Okamoto.

I’d rather they take a shot at Okamoto but I would be okay with O’Hearn.

Is much rather they sign Okamoto but have to admit Murakami only getting two years is pretty low risk.

I would be a lot more worried about Murakami’s tools translating. Okamoto is a veteran, plays solid defense, hits for average w/ some power. I think he’s the safer bet of the two.

Now that Murakami has signed with the White Sox, the Mets better be all in on Okamoto!

I’d much rather have Okamoto. Murakami’s strikeouts, especially on pitches in the zone are concerning. Okamoto is a more complete player.
