Will it impact the courts? Who knows. Doubt it. But - the US has rejected international norms for a very long time despite helping create those international norms. And, since US law doesn't bind Trump, then lets start mainstreaming IHL/IL. Just throw it all in there. Normalise it.

I like this. Let's mainstream IHL/IL into every single case brought against the lawlessness of the current US administration. Because in order to act as if law is a thing we have to talk about international law because it is a thing. It is codified in our statutes, customary, and US case law.
