Announcing the participants of Branar Meitheal 2025-2026! Branar and our partners are delighted to support these 10 artists and producers in the creation, development and presentation of work for young audiences over the next 18 months.
Commissioned as part of Ulysses 2.2, a collaborative project between ANU, Landmark Productions and Museum of Literature, Ireland.
The show runs in the Pleasance Courtyard as part of the 2025 Culture Ireland Edinburgh Showcase from the 30th July - 24th August.
Designed for children aged 8+ and their adults

This non-verbal adaptation combines stunning puppetry, a signature original score by Colm Mac Con Iomaire, sumptuous design by Maeve Clancy and sensitive direction by Marc Mac Lochlainn.

Story of a Day – Scéal Lae is a live performance commissioned by Branar and performed by ConTempo Quartet in a collaboration between Branar and Galway Music Residency. Words and illustrations by renowned children’s author Mary Murphy and original score by award winning composer Tom Lane.
We are thrilled to announce that Story of a Day/Scéal Lae is part of this year's Galway International Arts Festival!
The show runs from the 14th - 20th July in the Cube Theatre, at the University of Galway. Suitable for children aged 4+ and their families.

The team were experimenting with different types of puppets to see which one best suits the show.
