Catching the light, woman with cat, the Gorbals, Glasgow 1948 by Bert Hardy. He was a fearless and engaging photographer who could take photos anywhere. This is a particularly poignant image.

Looking through Network Rail internal reports as part of book research, I found an entry from 2018: β€œThe female driver has stopped to report to both the signaller and BTP that there is a man stark naked at a window of a house, vigorously pleasuring himself.” www.chimewhistle.co.uk

Brigg signalman Mr. David Neve, gives verbal instructions to the second man of this return excursion to Shrewsbury on 2nd. July 1978.

Taken at a time when the Brigg Line still held some residual importance as a through route out of the Humberside area.

The new Boogie Lights Express is proving to be very popular on the Severn Valley Railway, although one person (a teacher of all people) has had a moan on SM that it should be an adult only train. She's been told to catch a later train if she has a phobia about children.

Someone tried to board a moving train at Derby a couple of years ago. They fell between train and platform - losing a number of fingers in the process.

Thank you so much to Phil and everyone else who’s supported the zine so far.

I have some stock left and if you’re near Whitley Bay (where these photos were taken), indie bookshop The Bound has some too.
