this is just whining, lol, but you definitely start second-guessing yourself. if i could pinpoint what i'm missing it would be easier (is it the art? social skills? bad at posting?) but as-is it's just like, damn, everyone tells me they like my work, but no one wants me to work for them..... oh well
atp i'm reasonably confident the problem isn't my skillset itself (well, who knows!) i've done professional-level work for publishing, i get invited to comics events, etc. it's just one-and-done opportunities that don't lead to more work and idk how to make that start happening at all
back in the job hunting mines again and it's feeling kind of grim. at this point i'm not even sure where to apply to, gamedev jobs don't want 2d illustration portfolios but idk who does, lol. not sure how you're supposed to live off of freelance work without an agent or industry connections
